Rihards Kols: Latvijas atbalsts Ukrainas suverenitātei un teritoriālajai nedalāmībai ir nelokāms

“Latvija turpinās sniegt visaptverošu atbalstu Ukrainai un aktīvi darboties starptautiskos formātos, lai sekmētu Ukrainas uzvaru, mieru un stabilitāti reģionā. Mūsu atbalsts Ukrainas suverenitātei un teritoriālajai nedalāmībai ir nelokāms,” uzsvēra Saeimas Ārlietu komisijas priekšsēdētājs Rihards Kols trešdien, 24.aprīlī, tiekoties ar Ukrainas ārkārtējo un pilnvaroto vēstnieku Latvijas Republikā Anatoliju Kucevolu (Anatolii Kutsevol).

R.Kols un vēstnieks apsprieda turpmākās divpusējās un daudzpusējās sadarbības perspektīvas, kā arī ekonomiskā, politiskā, militārā un humānā atbalsta nodrošināšanu Ukrainai. Pārrunājot sabiedroto valstu atbalsta nozīmību, puses izcēla ASV Kongresa un Senāta lēmumu, kas paredz papildu militāro un finansiālo atbalstu Ukrainai.

“Mūsu kopīgais uzdevums ir nodrošināt Krievijas atbildību par visiem tās veiktajiem noziegumiem Ukrainā,” uzsvēra R.Kols, spriežot abu valstu sadarbību Eiropas Drošības un sadarbības organizācijas (EDSO) parlamentārajā asamblejā.

Tikšanās laikā A.Kutselovs pasniedza R.Kolam Ukrainas valsts apbalvojumu – “Nopelnu ordeni”. To Ārlietu komisijas priekšsēdētājam piešķīris Ukrainas prezidents Volodimirs Zelenskis (Volodymyr Zelenskyy) par nozīmīgu personīgo ieguldījumu starptautiskās sadarbības stiprināšanā ar Ukrainu, atbalstu tās suverenitātei un teritoriālajai integritātei un globālā atbalsta veicināšanu Ukrainai.
