Rīgas Latviešu biedrības Nacionālās identitātes komisija aicina apmeklēt vīru kopas “Vilki” koncertu – veltījumu latviešu leģionāriem. Koncerts izskanēs 2024. gada 16. martā plkst. 18.00 Rīgas Latviešu biedrības nama Zelta zālē.

Vīru kopas “Vilki” repertuāra pamatā ir karavīru dziesmas no vissenākajiem laikiem līdz mūsdienām. Dziesmas repertuāram tiek meklētas E. Melgaiļa, A. Jurjāna, J. Vītola, A. Krūmiņa savāktajos latviešu tautas mūzikas materiālos. Liela daļa dziesmu ir Pirmā pasaules kara latviešu strēlnieku, brīvības cīnītāju, Otrā pasaules kara latviešu leģionāru un nacionālo partizānu dziesmas, kuras pierakstījuši paši cīņu dalībnieki.

Vīru kopas “Vilki” svarīgākais darbības mērķis ir popularizēt un nodot nākamajām paaudzēm mūsu bagāto kultūras mantojumu, jo īpaši latviešu karavīru dziesmas, izceļot latviešu karavīru nozīmīgumu mūsu vēsturē. “Vilki” piedalījušies dažādos starptautiskos festivālos, koncerti notikuši vairākos pasaules kontinentos un paši organizējuši vairākus, lielāka mēroga pasākumus. Visvairāk koncertēšana notikusi skolās un armijas daļās. 

Ieeja koncertā par ziedojumiem. Koncertā gūtos ienākumus “Vilki” ziedos Rīgas Latviešu biedrībai (25% tiks novirzīti Ukrainas cilvēku atbalstam).
