26. jūnijā Valsts prezidents Edgars Rinkēvičs Jūrmalas rezidencē tikās ar nesen Saeimā apstiprināto kultūras ministri Agnesi Lāci. Tikšanās laikā Valsts prezidents uzklausīja kultūras ministres darba prioritātes un ministres redzējumu par dialoga nostiprināšanu starp Kultūras ministriju un daudzveidīgo kultūras nozari kopumā. Puses pārrunāja Latvijas informatīvās telpas stiprināšanas jautājumu, potenciālos atbalsta mehānismus reģionālās preses izdevumiem un jautājumu, kas skar Dziesmu un deju svētku tradīciju.

“Kultūras ministrijas pārziņā ir ļoti plašs un atbildīgs jautājumu loks, un katra Latvijas kultūras nozare ir vienlīdz svarīga – gan muzeji, arhīvi un bibliotēkas, gan teātra, filmu māksla, pieminekļu aizsardzība, sabiedrības integrācija un mediju politika. Tādēļ jaunajai kultūras ministrei novēlu stiprināt saikni un rast ciešu dialogu ar katru no kultūras nozarēm un jo īpaši ar tās cilvēkiem. Tieši viņi ikdienā piedalās, rada, veido un arī saglabā unikālo Latvijas kultūras ainu,” pēc tikšanās pauda Valsts prezidents Edgars Rinkēvičs.
