Mobilo sakaru operators “Tele2” turpina paplašināt 5G tīklu Rīgā – šodien darbu sākusi vēl viena 5G bāzes stacija, kas atrodas Brīvības un Ģertrūdes ielu krustojumā. Tas nozīmē, ka šajā rajonā Rīgas iedzīvotāji un viesi var pieslēgties 5G tīklam, ja viņu rīcībā ir 5G viedtelefoni. Uzņēmums atgādina, ka jau pērn galvaspilsētā komercrežīmā iedarbināja pirmo Latvijā 5G bāzes staciju, kas atrodas Mūkusalas Biznesa Centra kvartālā un kurā, veicot pirmo 5G interneta datu pārraidi, izdevās pārsniegt 1 Gbps lielu ātrumu.

Kopumā “Tele2” 5G tīkls ir pieejams jau septiņās Latvijas pilsētās – Rīgā, Jelgavā, Daugavpilī, Jūrmalā, Valmierā, Siguldā un Salacgrīvā.

Šogad līdz šim dažādās Latvijas vietās “Tele2” ir uzbūvējis 30 jaunas 4G bāzes stacijas, kā arī gandrīz 200 stacijām palielināta jauda, lai nodrošinātu pieprasījumu pēc mobilajiem sakariem.

“Tele2” 5G bāzes stacija Siguldā ir uzstādīta Vildogas ceļa tuvumā, Salacgrīvā Vidzemes ielā, Jūrmalā tā atrodas Emīlijas ielā, bet Valmierā – Raiņa ielā. Savukārt Daugavpilī 5G stacija atrodas Šķirotavas dzelzceļa stacijas tuvumā, Jelgavā – pie Dobeles šosejas, bet Rīgā – Mūkusalas Biznesa Centra teritorijā un tagad arī Brīvības un Ģertrūdes ielu krustojumā.
