Valsts prezidents Edgars Rinkēvičs Minhenē tikās ar Svētā Krēsla sekretāru, arhibīskapu Polu Ričardu Galaeru (Mr Paul Richard Gallagher). Tikšanās laikā puses pārrunāja Latvijas un Svētā Krēsla divpusējo dialogu, Krievijas izvērsto karu pret Ukrainu un situāciju Baltkrievijā. Tikšanās notika Minhenes drošības konferences ietvaros.

Sarunā E. Rinkēvičs aicināja Svēto Krēslu aktīvi iesaistīties Krievijas nolaupīto Ukrainas bērnu atgriešanā no Krievijas, Krievijas pagaidu okupētajām Ukrainas teritorijām un Baltkrievijas. Valsts prezidents informēja, ka š.g. janvāra izskaņā Rīgā notika konference “Krievijas karš pret bērniem” ar Ukrainas pirmās lēdijas Olenas Zelenskas līdzdalību, lai veicinātu starptautisko izpratni šajā jautājumā.
