Tā kā bija acīmredzams, ka vīrietis visticamāk mēģina pastrādāt zādzību, uz notikuma vietu tika nosūtīta tuvākā policijas patruļa.

Pāris minūtes vēlāk policisti ieradās notikuma vietā un uzrunāja iespējamo zagli. Vīrietis uzreiz atzinās, ka mēģinājis nozagt velosipēdu, bet tas neesot izdevies. Bet mirkli vēlāk atklājās, ka 27 gadus vecais pārkāpējs ir izsludināts meklēšanā.
