Trešdienas vakarā, pārbaudot informāciju par iespējamo akcīzes preču nelikumīgu pārvietošanu, Ventspils pārvaldes amatpersonas veica kāda Latvijas nepilsoņa vadītās kravas automašīnas pārbaudi. 1976.gadā dzimušais vīrietis mēģināja izceļot ar prāmi no Ventspils uz Zviedriju.

Pārbaudot kravu, robežsargi tajā konstatēja nedeklarētu akcīzes preci – stipro alkoholisko dzērienu „Smirnoff” viena litra tilpuma pudelēs, pavisam kopā 5376 vienības alkohola bez akcīzes nodokļa marķējuma.

Persona un  izņemtā prece tālāko procesuālo darbību veikšanai nodota Valsts ieņēmumu dienesta Muitas amatpersonām.
