Iedzīvotājiem no piektdienas, 6. decembra, aizliegts atrasties uz Rīgā esošo ūdenstilpju un jūras piekrastes ūdeņu ledus.

Ņemot vērā esošos laikapstākļus un meteoroloģiskās prognozes, iespējams, ka uz ūdenstilpēm varētu veidoties nepietiekami izturīga ledus kārta un atrašanās uz tās varētu būt bīstama.

Paaugstinātas bīstamības periodu uz Rīgas ūdenstilpju ledus ar rīkojumu nosaka Rīgas pilsētas izpilddirektors. Šī rīkojuma izpildi kontrolē Rīgas pašvaldības policija.

Atbildība par atrašanos uz ledus ir noteikta Administratīvo sodu likumā par pārkāpumiem pārvaldes, sabiedriskās kārtības un valsts valodas lietošanas jomā. Par likuma pārkāpumu piemēro brīdinājumu vai naudas sodu līdz 100 eiro.
